Preparing for Basic

My name is Kirsten and I am in a relationship with my best friend named Andrew which I have been dating for 5 years now! He has always talked about joining the army and on June 16, 2015 he swore in for the Army. I couldn't be more proud of him. I have been watching him prepare for basic these past four months and have noticed a big change in him already. We are down to one month before he leaves and it is getting harder and harder each day. We haven't been away from each other for more than 2 weeks at a time and basic is way longer than that. All we can do now is spend as much time as we can with on another until November 17 rolls around. I'm not looking forward to that day but I know its what he wants to do and it will better our future together! Cant believe one day I will be a Army Wife! Let the Military Life begin!!!
